
Jane O’Leary has been named the 2025 recipient of the National Concert Hall Lifetime Achievement Award, which recognises outstanding contributions to Irish musical life.
The award will be formally presented at a special concert on 24 October 2025, where Jane’s work Triptych for string quartet and orchestra will be performed by the ConTempo Quartet and the National Symphony Orchestra (NSO), conducted by Kensho Watanabe.
Reacting to the announcement, Jane said she felt “honoured, privileged, surprised and deeply humbled” by the recognition. As a pioneering composer, founder of the Concorde ensemble, and a central figure in Irish contemporary music, Jane’s influence continues to shape the musical landscape.
