Jane’s quartet ’Strings in the Air, Songs in the Stones’, written in 2021 for a premiere at Claregalway Castle, is one of six works nominated for possible performance at the ISCM World Music Days Festival taking place in the Faroe Islands in June 2024.
Written for ConTempo Quartet, it evokes the ghostly atmosphere of the 15th century Anglo-Norman Tower which stands on the outskirts of Galway city.
